Mogu Painting

定义

为中国画的一种画法。在书法里把笔锋所过之处称为“骨”，其余部分称为“肉”，不用勾轮廓，不要打底稿，更不能放底样拓描。作画时，要求画者胸有成竹，一气呵成。

Mogu Painting: meaning “boneless,” Mogu is a painting technique in traditional Chinese painting. Gu (bone) refers to brush strokes made only with the tip of the writing brush in Chinese calligraphy, and the other strokes of a Chinese character are known as rou (flesh). In Mogu painting, outlines, rough sketches, rubbings, and sketched patterns are not used. Therefore, in making a Mogu painting, the painter should have a well-composed picture in one’s mind and then paint at one stretch.
