Baitang Weddiing Ceremony

古代婚俗的主要情节，敦煌壁画中有两种形式：一种如莫高窟第116、205窟的男女站立式的娉娶婚；一种是如莫高窟第231、91等窟的男跪女揖式的人夫婚。

The major practice performed in ancient wedding ceremonies. In Dunhuang murals, two forms of the ceremony are recorded. First, in a pinqu marriage where the bridegroom offers a bride-price to the bride family and the bride comes to his home, the couple perform the ceremony in a standing posture, as depicted in Cave 116 and Cave 205 of Mogao Grottoes. Second, in a rufu marriage where the bridegroom comes to the bride's home, the groom kowtows and the bride bows in performing the ceremony, as depicted in Cave 231 and Cave 91,etc.
