手托鼓【英】

Hand-lifted Drum

定义

史书未见记载，敦煌壁画有此乐器图像。鼓型与答腊鼓近似，但演奏方法完全不同，它是用一手将鼓托起来，一手用褪击之。莫高窟第145窟(晚唐)南壁经变乐队中的手托鼓，左手举手托鼓，右手持槌演奏。莫高窟第55窟(宋)背屏上也是左手举手托鼓，右手持褪演奏。莫高窟第148窟(盛唐)亦有一件手托鼓，不同的是不用手举而是用手抓之，但鼓形完全一样。

It only appears on Dunhuang frescoes but has not been found in historical records. Though it looks like Dala Drum, but the two drums are totally different in the method of playing. This drum shall be lifted with one hand and beat with “Tui” with another hand. On south wall in Cave No. 145 (Late Tang Dynasty), the musician lifts it with left hand and beat with right hand. Also, another drum was found on the fresco of Cave No.148 (flourishing Tang Dynasty). The difference is that the musician grasps it instead of lifting it.
