定义

“反映”一指把情况、意见等告诉上级或有关部门，二指反照、反射，三指比喻把客观事物的本质表现出来（文若愚，2015：151），四指客观事物所引起的主观感受和看法。反映是指物质固有的特性，即一事物和其他事物发生相互作用时，以自身的变化再现他物某些特点。通常指客观事物作用于人的感官，而使人以观念的形式对客体及其规律和特性模写 、复制和再现。这是物质一般反映特性的最高级、最复杂的表现形式（反映.via：http://baike.baidu.com/item/%E5%8F%8D%E6%98%A0/33121）。客观事物通过感觉器官作用于大脑形成映象或客观事物在人脑中的模写，是认识论的基本概念。广义的反映，指概括了物质普遍存在的反映特性。狭义的反映指人类反映事物的特性。反映是一切物质存在的普遍特性。“反映”范畴在唯物主义认识论中占有重要地位。唯心主义坚持从思想和感觉到物的认识路线，否认人的认识是主体对客体的反映（金炳华等，2001：338-339）。“我们的感觉、我们的意识只是外部世界的映象；不言而喻，没有被反映者，就不能有反映，被反映者是不依赖于反映者而存在的”（列宁，1972：65）。“假定一切物质都具有在本质上跟感觉相近的特性、反映特性，这是合乎逻辑的”（列宁，1972：89）。“物质的抽象，自然规律的抽象，价值的抽象等等，一句话，一切科学的（正确的、郑重的、不是荒唐的）抽象，都更深刻、更正确、更完全地反映自然”（列宁，1990：142）。
