敦煌壁画伎乐天之一。“化生”为佛教常用词，谓无所依托、借业力而出现者。佛教往往用莲花寓意化生。凡是在莲花上奏乐的即可统称为化生乐伎。

A Buddhist mythological figure depicted in the Dunhuang murals. Transformed being is a Buddhist term, which refers to those who gained freedom and rebirth through their karma. In Buddhism, the lotus flower often symbolizes birth by transformation. Any figure that plays a musical instrument on a lotus flowers can be called a transformed beings musician.
