Buddha Bend Grottoes in Mount Beishan

北山古名龙岗山，位于四川省大足县郊外0.5公里处的北山之巅。石窟开凿于唐昭宗景福元年（892），现存窟龛290个，主要集中在佛湾，少部分散布于营盘坡、北塔、观音岩、佛耳岩等处。

It is a group of grottoes cut at the top of Mount Beishan, the ancient Longgang Mountain, half a kilometer north in the suburb of Dazu District in Chongqing Municipality. The grottoes were dug in the 1st year of the Jingfu era in Zhaozong’s reign of the Tang Dynasty (892 AD). There are still 290 niches today, mainly in the Buddha Bend but a few scattered in places such as Yingpanpo, Beita, Guanyinyan and Fo’eryan.
