1.十天叫一旬，一个月有三旬，分称上旬、中旬、下旬 a period of ten days, there are three xún in a month, respectively called shàngxún (lst ten days), zhōngxún (2nd ten days) and xiàxún (3rd ten days)
2.指十岁 a period of ten years in a person's age：三～上下年纪 sān-xún shàngxià niánjì about 30 years old/ 年过六～ nián guò liùxún over sixty years old |
