1.用手接触或轻轻抚摩 feel; stroke：～小孩儿的头 mō xiǎoháir de tóu stroke the child's head/ ～～多光滑 mōmo duō guāng-huá feel how smooth (it is)
2.用手探取 feel for; grope for：～鱼 mō yú grope for fish (in water)/ 从口袋里～出一张钞票来 cóng kǒudɑi li mō chu yī zhāng chāopiào lái feel in one's pocket and produce a bill ext. 1.揣测，试探 try to find out; feel out：～底 mōdǐ try to find out the real intention or situation; sound sb out/ 我～准了他的脾气了 Wǒ mōzhǔnle tā de píqi le. I've got to know his person (his temper)./ ～不清他是什么意思 Mō bu qīng tā shì shénme yìsi. We can't find out what he wants (or his intention). 2.在黑暗中行动，在认不清的道路上行走 grope (one's way in the dark)：～营 mōyíng steal up to an enemy's camp in the dark/ ～黑 mōhēi grope one's way on a dark night/ ～了半夜才到家 mōle bànyè cái dào jiā arrive at home after groping one's way for a long time in the night ［摸索 -suǒ］多方面探求、寻找 grope; try to find out：工作经验靠大家～～ Gōngzuò jīngyàn kào dàjiā mōsuǒ.
