临患不忘国,忠也。思难不越官,信也。图国忘死,贞也。谋主三者,义也。· To worry about one's country instead of oneself in the face of peril means loyalty; to try to resolve the most difficult problems but never to overstep one's authority means sincerity; to risk one's life for one's country means justice; and to consider the three things above-mentioned as the fundamental principles of action means righteousness.
