定义

集体主义，是主张个人从属于社会，个人利益应当服从集团、民族、阶级和国家利益的一种思想理论，是一种精神。集体主义的概念是斯大林在1934年7月，同英国作家威尔斯的谈话中明确提出来的。集体主义是社会主义的核心价值理念，与资本主义宣扬的个人主义相对立。它提倡个人利益和社会利益相结合，兼顾国家、集体和个人的利益，在坚持个人利益服从集体利益、眼前利益服从长远利益、局部利益服从全局利益的前提下重视个人利益以及个人健康的个性发展。集体主义同时是贯穿于社会主义道德规范体系的一根红线，是各个社会生活领域的道德要求，它是调节个人利益与集团、民族、阶级和国家利益的一种思想理论，是一种精神，是勘验一个人世界观、人生观、价值观正确与否的重要标志（韩玉胜，刘子平，2014：122）。从人类社会发展史来看，个人主义和集体主义都是人类社会历史发展的产物，不能一般地定性，更不能笼统地肯定或否定，而要看具体的社会历史条件。社会主义条件下的集体主义的核心价值观，具体包含三个基本原则：一是必须把社会、集体和个人三者利益统一起来；二是社会、集体的利益高于个人利益；三是个人正当利益得到充分尊重，当社会、集体的利益与个人利益发生矛盾时，个人利益应服从社会、集体的利益。
