It is found on the rafters of the gable ceiling in the Central Pillar Cave in the Dunhuang grottoes from the Northern Dynasties (AD 439–589). One end of the jingang pattern is flat. On the other end, there are three long triangles with a little bell on the top. Each rafter has three segments. |
