定义

“美丽中国”是中共十八大提出的概念，强调“把生态文明建设放在突出地位，融入经济建设、政治建设、文化建设、社会建设各方面和全过程”。在十八届五中全会上，“美丽中国”首次被写入“十三五”规划（美丽中国.via：
http://baike.baidu.com/link?url=l3tXZde3TND10-7Sgpw9m_JBY_uluelKn0qHdYj_JC2Tv8hnUe7bMddRuD08Vp2T8kv8mrOg2tQthJfGfW1yJq）。“美丽中国”是指生态文明的“自然之美、科学发展的和谐之美、温暖感人的人文之美”，旨在实现人与自然、人与人、人与社会、人与自身的和谐发展、科学发展及小康社会。其包含了“经济建设、政治建设、文化建设、社会建设、生态文明建设”五位一体的协同推进及生产关系与生产力、经济基础与上层建筑协调下“生产发展、生活富裕、生态良好” 的实现（孙丽霞，2013：3）。美丽中国建设是当代中国面临日趋严峻的生态环境和资源形势所作出的战略性选择，彰显了党坚持可持续发展战略，致力于改善人民生存和发展环境，积极打造绿色中国、生态中国的执政理念。建设美丽中国必须以生态文明为依托，通过建设资源节约型、环境友好型的“两型”社会，打造“生产空间集约高效、生活空间宜居适度、生态空间山清水秀”的美好家园，并在此基础上，全面推进我国经济、政治、文化、社会以及生态“五位一体”总布局的协同推进和全面发展（王晓广，2013：19）。
