佛像位于莫高窟第259窟西壁中心塔柱圆劵龛内，北魏时期塑造。二佛面相方圆，身着红色偏右袒式袈裟，游戏坐于佛床。体现了法华会上多宝塔涌现，释迦佛开启塔门，多宝佛于塔内分半座请释迦佛入塔的情景。

Two statues (Western Wei, AD 535-556) found in a half-dome shrine in the central pillar against the western wall of Mogao Cave 259. Each of the Buddhas, with a full face and dressed in a red kasaya with the right shoulder uncovered, sits on a Buddha chair with one leg dangling freely down and the other bent up against his torso (youxi zuo, a sitting posture in Buddhism). The scene shows a Dharma assembly at the Prabhutaratna Pagoda with the door being opened by the Shakyamuni Buddha, and Prabhutaratna inviting the Buddha in by sharing his seat.
