Relics in Front of Caves

依窟所建的地面遗存。与洞窟构成统一的整体。敦煌文物研究所发现二十二个窟前遗址，分属于五代、宋、西夏、元四个时代。就建筑结构而言，可分包砖台基的殿堂式建筑和土石基窟檐式建筑两种，多数属前者，规模较大。

They refer to the remains on the ground near the caves and which are integrated with the caves. Dunhuang Cultural Relics Research Institute found twenty-two relics in front of caves. These respectively belong to the Five Dynasties, the Song Dynasty, the Western Xia Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty. In terms of architectural structure, the relics consists of two kinds of style including a brick-based palace-like building style and a earth-rock based eave-like building style. Most of the relics are in the first of the two styles and built on a large scale.
