定义

生产关系，即社会生产关系，亦称经济关系（许征帆，1987：260）。生产关系是历史唯物主义一个极为重要的概念，用以表示存在于任何社会中一种客观的、不以人们意志为转移的物质关系，具体指人们在物质资料生产过程中相互结成的社会关系。它包括：（1）生产资料所有制形式；（2）人们在社会生产中的地位和相互关系；（3）产品分配的形式（卢之超，1993：726）。从社会生产和再生产过程来看，生产关系就是在生产、分配、交换、消费四个环节中人们相互之间的关系。“它们构成一个总体的各个环节，一个统一体内部的差别。”（马克思等，1995：17）在阶级社会中，生产关系表现为阶级关系（王国炎等，1993：129）。生产资料所有制形式是生产关系的基础，决定着生产关系的性质和特征。历史上存在着两种基本的所有制类型：公有制和私有制（卢之超，1993：726）。人类迄今为止已经经历了五种基本类型的生产关系：原始公社制的、奴隶占有制的、封建主义的、资本主义的和社会主义的生产关系（许征帆，1987：261）。马克思恩格斯在《德意志意识形态》一文中提出了生产力、生产关系（交往形式）、生产方式等唯物史观的基本范畴。生产力和生产关系是一对社会基本矛盾，它们的之间相互作用构成了生产方式的矛盾运动。一方面，生产力决定生产关系。有什么样的生产力便会有什么样的生产关系。另一方面，生产关系又反作用于生产力。当生产关系适合生产力发展水平时，它就推动生产力的发展；当生产关系不适合生产力发展要求时，它就阻碍生产力的发展（许征帆，1987：281）。
