定义

“理念”是柏拉图哲学中最重要的概念，理念是超越于个别事物的并且是个别事物存在根据的实在（胡骄平等，2012：180）。理念世界是古希腊柏拉图的客观唯心主义学说“理念论”中的概念。柏拉图认为有两个世界：一个是由理念的总和构成的理念世界，是永恒不变的真实的世界；一个是我们所处的现实的物质世界，是变化无常的不真实的世界。“理念世界”高于物质世界、先于物质世界。物质世界是从“理念世界”派生出来的。他认为理念世界是按照等级原则组织起来的。各类具体事物的理念，分别构成了各类事物所追求的目的，而统率一切理念的最高的理念是“善”的理念，是一切事物共同追求的最高目的。“善”的理念就像太阳一样，是产生和维持一切的力量¾¾神。他还描绘了造物主即神创造世界的过程，说神的创造过程是以“善”的理念为指导，以理念世界为模型，以“非存在”即某种原初无形式的物盾为质料。所以，柏拉图的理念世界就是宗教的神的世界（王革，1990：8）。柏拉图认为在可感个体事物之前有同名理念，相应在可感世界之前有同名理念世界。它有不同的等级：第一类是道德伦理价值和审美领域的理念，如善、正义、公正、勇敢、虔诚、美等。第二类是“最普遍或最重要的种”，即范畴。如一和多、部分和整体、圆和直等十三对理念、范畴，或存在和非存在、动和静、同和异等三对理念、范畴。第三类是数学上的理念，如圆、直、曲、三角形、二、三、点、线、体等的理念。第四类是自然物的理念，如物理元素水、气、土、水，动物、人、马等的理念，否认卑贱的自然物如头发、污泥、秽物等最无价值的东西有相应同名理念。第五类是人造物、人工制品的理念，如床、桌、梭子等的理念；在后期著作《巴门尼德篇》中，对人造物是否有理念表示怀疑。柏拉图认为不仅可感世界从属于理念世界，而且各类理念间也有主从关系，第一类理念最高，其中善的理念是整个理念世界的顶峰、最高的本体（金炳华，冯契，2001：821）。
