佛教本生故事画，现存莫高窟北凉第275窟、隋代第302窟、五代第98窟三例，其画面主要描绘月光王乐善好施及外道向月光王乞头的场景。

Three paintings of the story of the Buddha's past life, currently preserved in Cave 275 of the Northern Liang Dynasty, Cave 302 of the Sui Dynasty and Cave 98 of the Five Dynasties. As depicted in them, King Chandraprabha is reputed for his generosity and charity and even cut off his head as a gift to a believer of other religions.
