Quxiang Pipa (lute with curved neck)

南北朝时从西域（今新疆及其以西一带）流入中原的拨弦乐器，半梨形曲项，后与其它西来的拨弦乐器被统称胡琴，在当时颇为流行。

A string musical instrument entered into the central plains from the Western Regions during the Northern and Southern Dynasties (420-589AD). It is shaped like a semi-pear and had a curved neck. It was very popular at that time and later was grouped with other string instruments and collectively called Huqin
