Visesacinta Brahma Pariprccha Sūtra

定义

佛教经典，主旨是诸法平等，无有往来，无出生死，无入涅槃。佛本身既不得生死、涅槃，亦不令众生出生死、入涅槃。但为度妄想，分别生死、涅槃两种形相。进而提出涅槃只是一种名称，犹如虚空，不可取得。

The core claim of Buddhist scriptures is that what the Buddha has attained through total enlightenment is the same as what all others have attained; in this way, there is no difference between coming and going, life and death, and nirvana is meaningless. The Buddha is free from the cycle of birth and death; from nirvana. The Buddha also wants to liberate all living beings from the cycle of birth and death; from nirvana. Apart from the elimination of delusion in all living beings, life and death—as well as nirvana, which is illusory in nature—are created. In this way, nirvana is without form; impossible to grasp, and empty.
