窟前遗址主要建筑形式之一。只包括土石基和窟檐。土石基，一般是在窟前建筑范围内之底层。铺石垫土作基础，而窟檐则在土石基之上，其木结构部分已毁。窟檐西壁亦利用凿平的崖壁。壁面正中通过甬道进入窟内。

It is one of the main structures in front of the grotto, which includes the earth-stone pedestal and the eave only. The earth-stone pedestal normally refers to the bottom layer, composed of earth and stone, in front of but within the coverage of the grotto; the eave is just something over the earth-stone pedestal. Its wooden structures have been destroyed. The west side of the grotto eave is actually the cliff made smooth by chisels, in the middle of which is the entrance to the grotto connected by a corridor.
