The Ten Directions of Space

东、西、南、北、东南、西南、东北、西北、上、下十个方位。大乘佛教主张十方有无数世界及净土，称为十方世界、十方刹等。

The ten directions of space are the eight points of the compass (north, south, east, west, northeast, southeast, southwest and northwest) as well as zenith and nadir (up and down in the third dimension).Those who follow the Mahāyāna branch of Buddhism think that there are numerous worlds and Pure Lands in all directions, which are also known as “the worlds in all directions”or “the realms of Buddha in all directions”.
