弹拉类颈项型乐器。阮，又称阮咸。源自晋代竹林七贤之阮咸善弹此乐器而得名。阮的形态为正圆形共鸣箱，长柄，十二品柱，四弦（或五弦）。

A plucked string instrument, also known as ruanxian. The name comes from Mr. Ruan Xian—one of the “Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove” from the Jin Dynasty—who was very good at playing the instrument. The ruan has a round body, a long neck, twelve frets and four or five strings.
