According to the legend, on their way to attacking Ershi City, General Li Guangli and his troops become thirsty at the foot of a mountain, but there is no water source nearby. The General then stabs his sword into the mountain cliff; suddenly a stream comes gushing out and Ershi Spring comes into being. This poem shows admiration for the General’s sincerity and earnestness which is rewarded by heaven. |
