Bodhi Tree

定义

又名“毕钵罗树”。释迦牟尼曾于中印度摩羯陀国伽耶城南菩提树下证得无上智慧，故此树又译名为“觉树”、“道树”、“道场树”、“思惟树”、“佛树”。

　The Buddha attained Enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree, which is a tree to the south of Bodh Gaya, a city in the kingdom of Magadha (now India). In Chinese, it is also called the “enlightenment tree”, the “monastery tree”, the “meditation tree”, or the “Buddha tree”.
