敦煌俗文学体裁之一。僧人在俗讲、说因缘，甚至在为居士进行八关斋戒时，为招徕世俗听众，常首先演唱之。

This is a genre of Dunhuang vernacular literature often recited by monks for reaching audiences at the beginning of Buddhist ceremonies and events; included sutra chanting, karma storytelling, and Eight Precepts practice for lay Buddhists.
