人物画的一种。专指描绘人物形象的画。讲求传神写意。可分为头像、半身像、全身像和群像。

Portrait Painting: category of figure painting which depicts a human subject in an expressive and emotion-evoking manner. It can be further divided into four types: head portrait, half-length portrait, full-length portrait, and group portrait.
