中国人物画技法术语。古时肖像画中称面部突出部为“岳”。称鼻、额、左右颧、颚为“五岳”。“五岳高峦，见凸空白，见凹加黑”，谓之“凹凸法”。

Aotufa: refers to a specific technique in Chinese figure painting. In ancient China, the prominent part of one’s face in a figure painting was known as yue (mountain), and one’s nose, forehead, cheekbones, and jaw were collectively called wuyue (five mountains). By leaving the prominent parts blank and putting the other parts in shadow, this technique uses strong contrast between light and dark to highlight wuyue, the protruding parts of one’s face.
