Vertical Flute

定义

吹奏类竖管乐器。竖吹之笛名甚多，有直笛、竖吹、单管、中管、幢箫、尺八等，现代称之为洞箫。

A type of end-blown pipe instruments. It has many alternative names and variations, including shuchui (vertical blow), danguan (single pipe), zhongguan medium pipe), zhuangxiao (vertical bamboo flute), and chiba (a name after the length of the flute: one chi and eight cun). Today it is called dongxiao (vertical bamboo flute).
