1.说 say：诗～ Shī yún The poem says/ 人～亦～ rényún-yìyún say what everybody says
2.文言助词，句首句中句末都用 aux. in ancient Chinese, used at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of a sentence：～谁之思 Yún shéi zhī sī? Whom do you think of?/ 岁～暮矣 Suì yún mù yǐ. The year is drawing to its end./ 盖记时也～ Gài jìshí yě yún. for the purpose of recording time
