1.天干的第一位，用作顺序的第一 the first of the ten Heavenly Stems; first ext. 居首位，超过所有其他的 ranking first; surpassing all the others：桂林山水～天下 Guìlín shānshuǐ jiǎ tiānxià. The mountains and rivers in Guilin are the finest under the sun. ［甲子 -zǐ］我国纪日、纪年或计算岁数的一种方法，以十干和十二支顺序配合，六十组干支字轮一周叫一个甲子 a cycle of sixty years (a system of marking days, years or age in China, which combines the ten Heavenly Stems and the twelve Earthly Branches in a certain order, so that sixty groups of Stems and Branches is one cycle, which is called one jiǎzǐ)
