熟 shú

1.食物烧煮到可吃的程度 cooked; done：饭～了 Fàn shú le. The rice is done./ ～菜 shúcài cooked dish; prepared food
2.成熟，植物的果实或种子长成 (of fruits or seeds of plants) ripe：麦子～了 Màizi shú le. The wheat is ripe.
3.程度深 deeply; thoroughly：深思～虑 shēnsī-shúlǜ careful consideration./ ～睡 shúshuì sleep soundly; be fast asleep
4.习惯，常见，知道清楚 familiar; well acquainted：～悉 shúxī know sb. or sth. well; be familiar with/ ～人 shúrén acquaintance/ 这条路我～ Zhè tiáo lù wǒ shú. I know this route.
5.熟练，做某种工作时间久了，精通而有经验 skilled; experienced：～手 shúshǒu expert hand; practised hand/ ～能生巧 shúnéng-shēngqiǎo Skill comes from practice. or Practice makes perfect.
