1.去掉 get rid of; remove：～害 chúhài eliminate sb or sth. harmful/ 斩草～根 zhǎncǎo-chúgēn cut the weeds and dig up the roots — stamp out the source of trouble
2.不计算在内 except：～此以外 chú cǐ yǐwài with the exception of this/ ～了这个人，我都认识 Chúle zhè ge rén, wǒ dōu rènshi. I know everybody except this person. ［除非 -fēi］1.连词，表示惟一的条件，只有 conj. only if; only when：若要人不知，～～己莫为 Ruò yào rén bù zhī, chúfēi jǐ mò wéi.
