1.厢房，在正房前面两旁的房屋 wing; wing-room, rooms at both sides of a central room：东～房 dōng xiāngfáng the east wing-room/ 西～ xīxiāng the west wing-room ext. 边，方面 side; aspect：这～ zhè xiāng this side/ 两～ liǎngxiāng both sides
2.靠近城的地区 the vicinity outside a city：城～ chéngxiāng the city proper and areas just outside its gate/ 关～ guānxiāng neighbourhood outside a city gate
3.包厢，戏院里特设的单间座位 box at the theatre; a small separate compartment in a theatre
