1.原意为疏导水流，后转为堤岸被水冲开口子 (former meaning) dredge; (now trans.) be breached; burst：堵塞～口 dǔsè juékǒu stop up a breach ［决裂 -liè］破裂（指感情、关系、商谈等） (of feelings, relations, conferences, etc.) break with; rupture：谈判～～ tánpàn juéliè The talks are ruptured (or broke down).
