1.明，有光 bright; luminant; light：天～了 Tiān liàng le. It's light already./ 敞～ chǎngliàng light and spacious/ 刀磨得真～ Dāo mó de zhēn liàng. The knife became very bright after it had been sharpened.
2.(-儿 -r)光线 light：屋里一点儿～儿也没有 Wū li yī diǎnr liàngr yě méiyǒu. There is no light at all in the room. ext. 灯烛等照明物 light or candle (sth. that gives off light)：拿个～儿来 ná ge liàngr lái Bring over a light.
3.明摆出来 show; reveal：～相 liàngxiàng strike a pose on the stage (fig. state one's views)
4.明朗，清楚 enlightened; clarified：你这一说，我心里头就～了 Nǐ zhè yī shuō, wǒ xīn lǐtou jiù liàng le. I find what you've said is most enlightening./ 打开窗子说～话 dǎ kāi chuāngzi shuō liànghuà frankly speaking; let's not mince matters
