Xīn qù, yì nán liú; liúxia, jié yuānchóu.

心去意難留, 留下結冤仇。

Lit [When one's] heart/mind is gone [elsewhere], it is difficult to hold [his] will, [and if he is forcibly] detained, [he] will bear a grudge.

Fig If someone is determined to leave, you can hardly keep him or her.
