Next to the characters are written in small words “tunes for free play”, “tunes for first finger”, “tunes for middle finger”, “tunes for third finger”, “tunes for little finger” as postils. The characters were first found by Zhao Yuanren from Paul Pelliot’s manuscripts in France. |
