Kalavinka

定义

产于印度的鸟，属于雀类，以音声美妙著称。意为好声鸟、美音鸟、妙声鸟。其色黑似雀，羽毛甚美，喙部呈赤色，在卵壳中即能鸣，音声清婉，和雅微妙，佛教经典中，常以其鸣声比喻佛菩萨之妙音。

　Indigenous to India, the kalavinka a kind of sparrow that is famous for having a beautiful voice: kalavinka literally means “good-voice bird”. It has beautiful black plumage like a sparrow, and a red beak. Even when it is still inside the egg it is able to sing. In Buddhist texts, its voice is a metaphor for the wonderful voice and utterances of the Buddha and bodhisattvas.
