超越二元论（英：transcendent dualism），二元论两种形式中的一种。二元论认为世界有两种各自独立、性质不同的本原，或广义上认为世界上的事物分为两个对立的部分。强调二元隔离的为超越二元论，强调二元内含于一事物者为内在二元论（金炳华，冯契，2001：1054）。古希腊柏拉图的理念论中的理念与现象的关系为超越二元论，而亚里士多德的形式与质料的关系则是内在的二元论。当亚里士多德提出“形式的形式”以与形式和质料两者相对立时，则从内在的二元论转向超越的二元论。法国笛卡尔把世界分为物质和精神两个独立本源，从世界整体来看，这是世界内在的二元，但从这个实体与最高实体上帝来说，则这两个实体与上帝则为超越的二元（冯契，徐孝通，2000：804）。
