佛教经典，叙述药师如来行菩萨行时所发十二大愿，庄严东方净土琉璃世界。彼药师国土一向清净，有日光、月光两菩萨为无量菩萨之上首，劝导众生应生于彼国。

This sutra records the twelve great vows made by the Medicine Buddha when he was traveling the path of the Bodhisattva. The land ruled over by the Medicine Buddha is always pure and clean, and two Bodhisattvas—Suryaprabha and Candraprabha—are the rulers of all bodhisattvas, who persuade all sentient beings to be born into their realm.
