定义

孙中山提出的中国资产阶级民主革命的纲领，即民族主义、民权主义、民生主义。1905年（光绪三十一年）11月，孙中山在《〈民报〉发刊词》中将中国同盟会规定的“驱除鞑虏，恢复中华，创立民国，平均地权”的宗旨，概括为“民族、民权、民生”三大主义。1906年12月，孙中山强调：“我们革命的目的是为众生谋幸福，因不愿少数满洲人专利，故要民族革命;不愿君主一人专利，故要政治革命;不愿少数富人专利，故要社会革命。”他主张同时进行民族革命、政治革命和社会革命，推翻清朝封建专制制度，建立欧美式的资产阶级民主共和国。初期的三民主义（即旧三民主义）学说，以鲜明的革命立场同中国改良派作了尖锐斗争，在动员和组织人民进行推翻帝制、建立共和国的革命斗争中，起过巨大的作用。但是，旧三民主义还没有一个彻底反对帝国主义和封建主义的纲领。在俄国十月社会主义革命的影响和中国共产党的帮助下，孙中山确定了联俄、联共、扶助农工的三大政策，并于1924年1月在中国国民党第一次全国代表大会上，重新解释了三民主义。他把民族主义解释为对外反对帝国主义，对内求得各民族一律平等；把民权主义解释为建立一般平民所共有，非少数人所得而私的民主政治;把民生主义解释为平均地权（实行耕者有其田）和节制资本，反对少数人操纵土地和私有资本制度操纵国民生计。这就是以三大政策为核心的新三民主义。它与中国共产党在民主革命阶段的政纲基本相同，因而成为第一次国内革命战争时期国共合作的政治基础（三民主义.via：http://kns.cnki.net/kns/brief/Default_Result.aspx?code=CRPD&kw=%E4%B8%89%E6%B0%91%E4%B8%BB%E4%B9%89&korder=0&sel=1&xkcode=*）。刘柳珍指出，三民主义是辛亥革命前后由孙中山先生首创，并在后来的北伐与国家统一等历史过程中逐步得到发展与提升的思想体系。作为一种具有自身鲜明政治价值指向的思想理论体系，三民主义曾是中国现代化转型过程中涌现出来的，力图挽狂澜于既倒，救国家和人民于水火的一面战旗。历史地看，孙中山首创三民主义是中华文明在经历持续危机和沉重苦难后试图突破困局的努力，因而具有鲜明的时代特色。从思想对实践的影响而言，三民主义不仅先后被广州政府和南京国民政府所极力尊奉，而且还两次作为联手革命的纲领原则被国共两党所认可。可以说，三民主义在20世纪的中国具有重要的历史地位（刘柳珍，2012：1）。将三民主义政治价值作为研究对象，有着自身明确的理论指向与现实关怀。
