唐鄯州龙支县（今青海化隆）圣明福德寺僧人，吐蕃统治后期流寓敦煌。

Huiyuan is a monk from Fude Temple in Longzhi County of Shanzhou during the Tang Dynasty. In the late years of the Tibetan Kingdom in ancient China, he came to Dunhuang.
