Painting of the Eight Categories of Supernatural Beings: depicts one subject of Buddhist paintings, portraying the eight celestial beings who serve as guardians of the Dharma and who learn sutras by listening to the Buddha. They are the leaders of the eight categories of celestial beings, namely, the Heavenly Rulers (Sakra or Brahma), Heavenly Dragons (Nagas), Yaksha, Gandharva, Asura, Garuda, Kinnara and Mahorāga.
