Chanting Seat

定义

又称经座。佛教俗讲时为都讲所设的高座。都讲唱释经题与正式讲经无异，都应在唱经座上进行。

Also known as a Sutra Seat; refers to the high seat set specifically for the assistant Dharma Master for sutra preaching or sutra lectures. Since the assistant Dharma Master’s chanting and Dharma talks should be regarded as a part of sutra preaching proper, the chanting is performed in this special seat.
