定义

亦称主室。石窟造像及绘制壁画的主要部分，为一封闭性空间，有窟门与前室相通。按其结构，可分为窟顶、四壁、佛龛、中心柱、中心佛坛等部分。

It is an enclosed space, an important place also called the main chamber, where sculptures are made and frescoes are painted. It is joined to the front chamber by an entrance or a corridor and can be divided into sections such as the roof, the four walls, the niches, the central pillar, the central Buddha altar and so on according to the structure.
