定义

党性是一个政党固有的本性，是阶级性最高和最集中的表现。党性还具有鲜明的时代特征，他是千百万共产党员为了完成党在各个时期的任务，英勇奋斗，忘我牺牲，开拓进取实践的升华。中国共产党区别于其他政党的特性构成了我们党的党性。中国共产党历来重视党性问题，早在1941年1月中共中央的有关决定中就提出要加强全党的“党性教育和党性学习，决不可轻视这个绝大的问题。”1941年7月，中共中央发出《中央关于增强党性的决定》，其中讲到增强党性锻炼的重要性，列举缺乏党性的种种表现，提出纠正违反党性倾向的具体办法。1946年刘少奇在《人的阶级性》一文中指出：“共产党员的党性，就是无产者阶级性最高而集中的表现，就是无产阶级利益最高而集中的表现”（刘少奇，1991：225）。1992年我国第一次以党内最高法的形式，在党章中提出提高素质、增强党性任务。党章的总纲规定：中国共产党是中国工人阶级的先锋队，同时是中国人民和中华民族的先锋队，是中国特色社会主义事业的领导核心，代表中国先进生产力的发展要求，代表中国先进文化的前进方向，代表中国最广大人民的根本利益。党的最高理想和最终目标是实现共产主义。
