定义

功利价值（utilitarian value），即人们对物质利益或生活中的实际利益追求和认可的价值，又可归结为主体与客体关系意义上的价值。道德价值即对道德理想精神的追求和认可的价值，又可归结为主体与主体关系意义上的价值。在人类的社会生活中，功利价值与道德价值是两类最基本的价值。人们的生活不可缺乏物质利益或实际利益，同时也不可缺少道德精神的追求，因而也就决定了这两类价值对于人们的生活所具有的普遍意义。（龚群，2014:66）。功利价值在一定程度上确实对市场经济的发展起到一定作用。在西方世界甚至可以说是占的上相当重的比例。但我国作为一个走中国特色社会主义道路的国家，生搬硬套西方资本主义经济生产方式是不可取的（《功利价值》，via：http://wenku.baidu.com/view/d5135463caaedd3383c4d392.html）。
