Wild Goose Pattern

敦煌禽鸟图案纹祥的一种。中唐第361窟佛龛顶部的雁纹团花平棋图案，在形似斗四藻井结构的平棋内的团花中，绘大雁以嘴叼着璎珞，项上扎着飘带，站在云纹如意上，形象生动，造型写实而又有装饰感。

It is a bird pattern as found in Dunhuang. In Mogao Cave 361 from the middle Tang Dynasty, there is a wild goose medallion pattern on top of the niche. In the medallion on the lanterndecke ceiling, a wild goose is painted, holding a jade-like ornament in its mouth and wearing a ribbon around its neck, standing on a heavenly-cloud scepter. It is vivid and realistic, with a sense of decorative air.
