又称倒斗型窟。洞窟形制之一。隋唐洞窟基本属此型。平面方形，正壁开盒。空间开敞宽豁，光线充足，适于聚集佛徒讲经和礼拜活功。窟顶中心方形深凹藻井，四面呈斜坡状，形如倒斗，故名。

It is one shape of the grottoes, also called inverted funnel grottoes. Almost all grottoes built in the Sui and the Tang dynasties were shaped like this, constructed in a square plane with a niche dug in the wall directly facing the entrance. Such a grotto is spacious and bright, suitable for Buddhists to do religious activities together. The center of the roof of such a grotto is a deep funnel-shaped concave with four sloped sides, looking like a funnel placed upside-down.
