Futou Headwear with Straight Flaps

展脚幞头始于五代，形制规矩，两级均为方形，棱角毕露，两脚平伸于两侧，长余尺，已具有后来乌纱帽的形式。

Originated in the Five Dynasties, this type of headwear is of a certain format. The flaps are straight and stiff, with square ends; meanwhile, they can extend on each side up to about 1 chi (nearly 0.33m). In a sense, it is the early form of the ancient Chinese official headwear known as wushamao.
